Thierry Glauser has a strong background in R&D within the medical device industry. Thierry is currently the Vice President of R&D at BIOTRONIK, overseeing the development of intravascular devices for cardiovascular and peripheral vascular disease. Prior to this role, they were a Sr. Program Director at BIOTRONIK, responsible for bringing new bioresorbable coronary scaffolds and drug-eluting balloon technology to market. Thierry has also held leadership positions at Philips, Spectranetics, AngioScore, Abbott Vascular, Guidant Corp., and Aspira Biosystems. Thierry Glauser has a Ph.D. in Polymer Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, which they earned from 1994 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Materials Science from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 1989 to 1994. Thierry also completed a Post-doc in Polymer synthesis and characterization at Stanford University from 2000 to 2002.
