Monica Bandera

Monica Bandera is an accomplished leader in research and development with extensive experience in the biotechnology and fragrance industries. Currently serving as the Leader of Early Research Programs at BioVersys AG since January 2023, Monica has previously held significant positions at Firmenich from 2007 to 2021, including Vice President of R&D, Director of Biotechnology, Director of Cell Biology, and Senior Scientist. Monica's responsibilities encompassed strategic R&D initiatives, client collaboration for co-innovation, and leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple continents. Prior to Firmenich, Monica contributed to antimicrobial discovery at Arpida and performed cell-based assay development at Sigma-tau. Monica holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Dundee and a Laurea in Microbiology from Università degli Studi di Milano.
