Darrell Christmas

Lead Game Systems Programmer at BioWare

Darrell Christmas has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering, with a focus on game development. Darrell started their career at CSC as an Application Associate and Technical Modeler, where they gained experience in installing and configuring Documentum applications for various clients. In 2008, they worked as a PHP Developer at Gold Group before moving on to become the Lead Networking Programmer at the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA), where they designed and developed a game using the Gamebryo Game Engine. During their time at FIEA, they also worked on networking components and developed production tools for character tweaking. Darrell then joined Electronic Arts, where they held the positions of Software Engineer and Lead Audio Engineer. Darrell worked on various game titles, including EASPORTS MMA, where they impacted the user experience through screen development and animation. Darrell also worked on bug fixes and UI development for Darkside Game Studios before returning to Electronic Arts as a Software Engineer. In their most recent role at BioWare, Darrell served as the Lead Game Systems Programmer.

Darrell Christmas obtained a High School Diploma from St. Benedict's Prep School in 2001. Darrell then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University from 2001 to 2005. In 2008, they attended the University of Central Florida and completed a Master of Science degree in Interactive Entertainment in 2009. Darrell also obtained a certification titled "Transitioning from Technical Professional to Manager" from LinkedIn in 2020.
