Katie Upchurch

Katie Upchurch is currently a Relationship Manager at BIP Wealth. Prior to their current position, Katie worked as a legal assistant paralegal at Cuzdey, Ehrmann, Stine & Sansalone, LLC from February 2020 to March 2022. In their previous role, Katie used filing software such as ATO, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office to send documents and communicate with clients through. Katie also performed administrative and legal procedural tasks, including file maintenance and client communications, in domestic relations cases. In addition, Katie followed SBWC and State Board of Workers’ Compensation guidelines. At Cuzdey, Ehrmann, Stine & Sansalone, LLC, Katie managed 20+ client cases per week while ensuring client satisfaction.

Katie began their paralegal career at Meriwether & Tharp LLC in May 2016 where they worked until February 2020. While at Meriwether & Tharp LLC, Katie used filing software such as Nuance, Adobe, ATO, and Microsoft Office to send documents, as well as communicate with clients. Katie was responsible for summarizing copious amounts of legal documents in order to provide the team with case critical information. Katie also drafted pleadings for initial civil proceedings, discovery documents, and other mandatory documents required by the superior courts. In addition to these duties, Katie also compiled exhibits and assisted attorneys in preparation for trial and court proceedings. At Meriwether & Tharp LLC, Katie followed the Uniform Superior Court Rules of Georgia.

Katie Upchurch has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia College & State University and a Business Administration and Marketing degree from Georgia State University Perimeter College. Katie also has a Paralegal Certification from The University of Georgia.
