Tyrus Bender

Tyrus Bender is a seasoned geologist with a robust background in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as a Senior Geologist at Birchcliff Energy Ltd. since June 2013. Prior experience includes a role as an Exploration Geologist at Shell, where Tyrus focused on tight oil plays in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin from January 2012 to June 2013, providing geologic support and project execution. Before that, Tyrus worked at Encana from May 2007 to December 2011 in various capacities, notably as a Development Geologist for the Horn River Shale play, where responsibilities included pad planning and geo-steering of horizontal wells. Tyrus holds a degree in Geology from the University of Calgary, completed in 2007.
