Shuwen M.

Shuwen M. has a solid work experience in the construction industry. In 2014, they began their career as a BIM Coordinator at Coastal Construction Company, where they worked until 2016. During this time, they gained expertise in BIM and coordination of construction projects. In 2016, they joined Turner Construction Company as a BIM/VDC Project Manager, overseeing the implementation of BIM and VDC technologies until 2018. They then transitioned into the role of BIM/VDC Specialist until 2020. Shuwen M. then joined Bird Construction in 2020 as the Virtual Design Construction Manager. Lastly, they also served as the Director of Programs at Canadian Construction Women from 2019 to 2022. Shuwen M. has a comprehensive background in utilizing BIM and VDC technologies and has demonstrated leadership skills in their multiple roles throughout their career.

Shuwen M. completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Landscape Architecture from Tianjin Chengjian University in the years 2007 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Construction Management from the University of Florida from 2011 to 2014. In November 2016, Shuwen M. obtained a Certificate of Management in Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM) from The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).
