Lungi Macebo has a diverse work experience in the football industry. Starting in 2010 as a Student Ambassador at Oxford Brookes University, they represented the university at various events and encouraged young people to apply for university.

In 2013, they joined Charlton Athletic Football Club as an HR Assistant and later became an HR Manager. Lungi gained experience in project management and operations in a football club setting. Their time at Charlton Athletic lasted until 2019.

During their time at Charlton Athletic, they also worked as an Executive Assistant from 2014 to 2015.

In 2018, Lungi became a Director at Women in Football Official. Lungi played a crucial role in providing strategic direction for the organization and advocating for women's representation in the industry.

Since 2019, Lungi has been the Chief Operating Officer at Birmingham City FC. Their responsibilities include overseeing the women's team and managing operations, safety, security, matchday operations, facilities, stadium management, grounds maintenance, and project management.

In 2019, they also participated in the Sport Industry NextGen program, which focuses on professional development for rising professionals in the sports industry.

Lungi Macebo has a diverse educational background, starting with their completion of GCSE's at Catford Girls Secondary School from 2001 to 2006. Following this, Lungi pursued A-Levels in Social Sciences at City of Westminster College, attending from 2006 to 2008. Lungi furthered their education at Oxford Brookes University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology, completing their studies from 2008 to 2012.

In 2013, Lungi enrolled in Selhurst Consulting, where they successfully completed the CIPD Intermediate Diploma in HR Management. This program focused on Human Resources Management and Services and lasted from 2013 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Lungi Macebo also obtained a certification in Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn in October 2021. This certification demonstrates their commitment to enhancing their professional skills and staying up to date with industry trends.
