Marcelo Lima, A.A.E. has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Marcelo started their career at Charlotte Douglas International Airport as an Airport Operations Officer and later became an Associate Airport Planner. Marcelo then moved to Birmingham Airport Authority, where they worked as an Airport Planner and later as a Financial Project Manager. Marcelo then joined Lynchburg Regional Airport as a Deputy Airport Director before returning to Birmingham Airport Authority as a Senior Airport Planner and eventually becoming the Vice President of Planning and Development.

Marcelo Lima, A.A.E. earned their Bachelor's degree in Aviation/Airway Management and Operations from Ohio University from 2002 to 2004. Marcelo then went on to pursue a Master's degree in the same field at the University of North Dakota from 2005 to 2008. In addition to their academic achievements, Marcelo obtained a Private Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 2000. Later, in 2014, they received the Accredited Airport Executive certification from the AAAE institution.
