Theodore Lu

Theodore Lu has a diverse work background. Theodore is currently working as Vice President of Human Resources at Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community since January 2023. Prior to this, they were with MUSC Health, where they served as the Health System Director of HR Policies, Practices & Compliance from November 2021 to December 2022 and as the Director of Employee Relations and HR Compliance from May 2018 to October 2021. Before joining MUSC Health, Theodore held the position of Legal Counsel at Life Care Centers of America from January 2014 to May 2018, where they were responsible for labor and employment matters, litigation management, contracts, compliance, and risk management. Theodore also gained experience as an Attorney at Minor Bell & Neal from December 2009 to December 2013 and Stokes Roberts & Wagner, ALC from 2007 to 2009. Early in their career, Theodore served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces from 2005 to 2006.

Theodore Lu received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government from Wheaton College, where they studied from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Grove City College from 1997 to 1999, focusing on Political Science and Government. Later, they pursued their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree at William & Mary Law School, a program in which they were enrolled from 2002 to 2005.
