Lesly Soto Bright has held various roles in the public health and technology sectors since 2001. Lesly began their career as a Health Worker III at the San Francisco Department of Public Health in 2001, where they managed and monitored Memoranda of Understanding (MOU's) and assisted in the development and implementation of Grant objectives. In 2006, they moved to the Department of Public Health Sacramento as a Communicable Disease Investigator, where they established rapport with public, private, and community officials, and provided educational forums and lectures to large groups. In 2008, Bright joined First 5 San Bernardino as a Program Evaluation Analyst, where they coordinated and managed all evaluation activities, and worked collaboratively with stakeholders to design and implement an evaluation system. Lesly then moved to Harder+Company Community Research in 2010 as a Persimmony Database Manager, where they served as a liaison with the database vendor and client to meet changing needs. In 2017, Bright joined Encompass Head Start as Data Coordinator, where they maintained and updated databases (Learning Genie, ChildPlus, etc.). Finally, in 2018, they joined Bitfocus as Deputy Project Administrator and Project Manager, where they created technology to advance solutions to social challenges and provided professional services to facilitate data-driven decision making.

Lesly Soto Bright received a Bachelor of Science in Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences/ Minor Sex Education from San Francisco State University in 1999. Lesly then earned a Master of Public Administration in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the same university in 2005.
