Rupam Bhattacharya has a diverse work experience in cybersecurity and information technology. Rupam started their career at Infosys as a Process Executive, where they gained experience in database administration and IT training. Rupam then joined McAfee as an Associate Software QA Engineer, working on the security aspect of their products and platforms.
Afterwards, Rupam worked at PwC as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Security Lead. In these roles, they focused on application security, pentesting, compliance, and security consulting for various clients, including a large payment processing company and a healthcare organization.
Rupam then moved to AMISEQ, where they served as a Sr. Security Architect/Consultant, Technical Manager - Offensive Security, and eventually as the Head of Offensive Security and Product Lead. Rupam contributed to projects in secure architecture, cloud security, web application security, and pen testing. Rupam also played a key role in developing the Artemis pentest automation platform.
Following their tenure at AMISEQ, Rupam joined the Open Security Community as the Chapter Lead. Rupam actively participated in this open security community, delivering talks and leading various initiatives.
Currently, Rupam is working at BitOasis as the Manager of Cybersecurity. Rupam is responsible for cybersecurity compliance and audit requirements, as well as application security for all BitOasis web/mobile applications and web services.
Rupam Bhattacharya's education history is as follows:
- From 2005 to 2009, Rupam attended the University of Rajasthan and obtained a B.E. (Hons) degree in Computer Science Engineering.
- In 2004, Rupam completed an Intermediate/+2 degree in Science (Maths+Biology) from K.V. AFS Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
