Olivia Broderick

Olivia Broderick has a diverse and extensive background in the legal field. Olivia currently serves as the Chief Legal Officer at Bitpanda since December 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of General Counsel and Head of Regulatory at Checkout.com from June 2020 to September 2022. From October 2016 to June 2020, Olivia worked at Zopa as the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary. Additionally, they held the role of General Counsel and Compliance at Zopa from July 2017 to March 2018. Before joining Zopa, Olivia worked at Barclays, where they served as Head of Legal, Regulated Loans and Mortgages from August 2015 to October 2016. Olivia also had a role as Head of Acquiring in Ireland from January 2015 to August 2015 during their business secondment at Barclays. Prior to their time at Barclays, Olivia spent a significant portion of their career at Barclaycard, starting as a Legal Counsel in November 2005 and progressing to Principal Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel roles before leaving in December 2014. Olivia began their legal career as a Solicitor at Mills & Reeve in January 2005 and then worked as a Solicitor at Brodies LLP from June 2002 to January 2005. Olivia also worked as a Legal Counsel at Royal Bank of Scotland from July 2003 to June 2004 and as a Solicitor at WILLIAM FRY LLP from June 2001 to June 2002. Olivia started their legal journey as a Trainee Solicitor at Mason Hayes & Curran from January 1999 to June 2001.

Olivia Broderick started their education at Listowel Presentation Secondary School from 1987 to 1992. During this period, they completed their Intermediate and Leaving Certificates. In 1992, they enrolled at the University of Galway and pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History and Law, which they completed in 1995. From 1995 to 1997, Olivia continued their studies at the University of Galway and obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Afterward, they went on to pursue a Master's degree in Law from UCL, where they studied from 1997 to 1998.
