Main responsibilities:

• Team Leadership and Management of the middle office team, providing guidance, support, and training as required. Ensure the team's adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of all systems from an operational perspective.
• Prepare and analyze regular reports for management.
• Stakeholder management including preparation, analysis and communication of financial reporting.
• Risk Analysis – work with the stakeholders to develop KRI’s / KPI’s which can be used to monitor operational health of our framework. Use these to drive the risk agenda with the leadership group, highlight areas of concerns and partner with line managers to develop, execute and monitor progress.
• Explore feasibility to automate manual activities wherever possible.
• Maintain and review Standard Operating Procedures and control functions.
• Perform data analytics using metrics to identify trends and themes.

Required qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Strong knowledge of financial products within either traditional or crypto markets across spot, derivatives, Fixed Income, FX, Collateral and Cash within a risk management context required.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience managing mid-size team with focus on operational and financial risk management within traditional or crypto markets.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate issues and ideas to different levels of seniority, both internally and externally.
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience coordinating daily tasks and deliverables amongst the team.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex workflows, and excellent attention to detail.
• Innovative, including a keen eye for identifying areas of control enhancements and automation which have practical value.
• Good influencing skills to challenging the status quo and continuously enhance the control environment.
• Sound time management skills to be able to effectively prioritize and multi-task.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate with teams globally and build strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments.
• Understanding of risks and controls and their relationship with each other. Knowledge of how these operate in a financial markets and trading context is an asset.
• Ability to proactively identify risks and escalate issues.
• Ability to thrive in a changing work environment.
• Desirable: Cryptocurrency experience.
