Cesar Gonzalez

Cesar Gonzalez has a diverse and extensive work experience. Cesar began their career as a Freelance Web Designer and Developer, working on small WordPress projects and providing web design, development, and maintenance. Cesar then worked as a Webmaster for Student Publications at The University of Texas-Pan American, where they managed the online presence of the student-run newspaper and provided IT support.

After that, Cesar took on the role of Lead Developer at Imagine It Studios, leading a team in planning, organizing, and developing various WordPress projects. Cesar also handled the maintenance of web properties and developed SEO strategies.

Following their time at Imagine It Studios, Cesar joined Blacksmith Agency as a Lead Full-Stack Developer. In this role, they led a team of six developers, coordinating project planning, organization, and development. Cesar also communicated with clients and ensured smooth project execution.

Later, Cesar worked at Honorlock as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to bug fixes and features for the Honorlock web application and Chrome extension. Prior to their career in web development, Cesar worked as an Elementary General Music Teacher at Ollie O'Grady Elementary School, where they taught music to students in grades K-5 and organized musical activities and ensembles.

Cesar Gonzalez pursued their education chronologically, starting with a Bachelor's of Music degree in Music Education from the University of Texas at Brownsville, which they completed between 2006 and 2011. Cesar then continued their studies at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, undertaking post-graduate study in Computer Science from 2014 to 2016. Most recently, Cesar has been enrolled in a Bachelor's of Science program in Computer Science at Oregon State University, which commenced in 2020 and is expected to conclude in 2024.

In addition to their formal education, Cesar has obtained two certifications. Cesar earned the Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA) certification from the IAAP - International Association of Accessibility Professionals in November 2022. Cesar also holds the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification, achieved from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2021.
