Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, & Learning Specialist at Bixal

Eyerusalem Tessema, MPH, serves as the Senior MEL Specialist for the USAID Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Support Activity (MELSA) at Bixal since January 2022, providing high-quality MEL and CLA services in South East Asia. Prior to this role, Eyerusalem was an Advisor for MEAL and Research at Save the Children US from August 2016 to December 2021, overseeing monitoring and evaluation systems for youth employment programs across several countries. Eyerusalem has a strong background in research and evaluation, evidenced by co-leading a randomized control trial in Bangladesh and actively representing Save the Children in technical working groups. Eyerusalem holds a Master's in Public Health and a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
