Peter Greenwood

Peter Greenwood is the current Chief Financial Officer at Blackbird Interactive. Peter has over thirteen years of experience in business and financial reporting, advisement, and decision support.

Greenwood began their career at KPMG in Vancouver as a Partner in the Business and Financial Reporting Advisory Services. There, they delivered solution driven analysis for technical reporting challenges and also structural reorganization requirements. Peter ensured financial reporting was fit for purpose and audit scrutiny. Greenwood also drove multi-functional teams to bring clarity to complex financial and operating reporting challenges faced by organizations.

In their six years and ten months as Chief Financial Officer at Blackbird Interactive, Greenwood is responsible for the creation and coordination of the company’s financial and operational strategy covering key studio direction across product, audience, finance, technology, and culture. This includes planning, analysis, and negotiation of alternate finance arrangements (both debt and equity funding), management of critical company cash flow through final product production and delivery of studio requirements to the next major projects. Greenwood also creates essential budget and forecast processes to better manage key financial drivers and cash management for the studio.

Greenwood’s experience also includes negotiations and contracting with key publishers, stakeholder communications, financial reporting, SR&ED-claim oversight.

Peter Greenwood has a degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham, which they completed in 1989. Peter also has an ACA from the ICAEW.
