Blake Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Blake began their career as a Controller at Intel, where they provided forecasting, financial analysis, and cost control for two divisions. After their time at Intel, they worked as a Consultant at Resources Global Professionals, where they developed budgets and financial analysis for nonprofit organizations. Blake then moved to the Arizona State University Foundation, where they served as the Assistant Vice President of Finance and was responsible for managing the foundation's endowment portfolio and improving pledge collections.

Following their role at the foundation, Blake joined Honeywell Aerospace as a Finance Project Manager, overseeing financial reporting and analysis for manufacturing process transition projects. Blake later became the Marketing & Product Management Global Finance Manager, supporting the allocation process of R&D spending. Subsequently, they worked at Freescale Semiconductor as the Finance Controller for the Sensor and Actuator Solutions Division.

Blake then transitioned to Apollo Education Group, starting as the Associate Director of FP&A for the Professional Development organization before being promoted to Director of FP&A for the Office of the Chairman. In these roles, they provided financial decision-making, budgeting, and financial analysis to support organizational performance and win new market opportunities.

Most recently, Blake joined Blackboard as the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Blake Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, from 1982 to 1988. Blake later obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance from the same university, from 1989 to 1991.
