Ed Russell

Ed Russell's work experience includes a range of roles in the information technology field. Ed began their career at Sprint, where they served as an Operations Manager for almost two decades. Ed then worked at Winstar Communications as the Director of Large Account Implementation, overseeing the implementation of a major network contract. Following this, they joined AOL - Technology Infrastructure and Open Services, where they held various positions, including Technical Director and Senior Technical Manager. Ed played a key role in managing telecom projects and collaborating with business units. Most recently, Ed served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Blackboard, where they led the design, development, and implementation of organizational information systems. Ed also held roles such as VP of Information Technology, Sr. Director of IT Operations, and Sr. Director of IT Infrastructure during their tenure at Blackboard. Ed Russell retired in 2022.

Ed Russell has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Liberty University. Additionally, they have studied Business Administration and Management, General at Longwood University.
