Julie Blackburn

Julie Blackburn has over 20 years of professional work experience in various roles and industries. Julie began their career at American Power Conversion as a Fulfillment Coordinator and then worked as a Project Coordinator at Emissive Energy Corp, where they developed and maintained relationships with critical consumer accounts. Julie then transitioned to Management Search, Inc. as a Business Development Manager, conducting searches for personnel and creating a marketing plan for the manufacturing niche.

In 2007, Julie joined MetLife as a Communications Director, where they led and managed internal employee engagement and communications strategies. Julie collaborated with executives, developed communications approaches, and used multimedia platforms to engage employees. After that, Julie worked at RE/MAX as a Broker Associate and Technology Thought Leader. Julie was recognized as the #1 internet lead generator in New England and spoke at various industry conferences on topics such as SEO and leveraging Google Analytics.

Julie then joined Hasbro as a Global Consumer Insights Strategic Foresight Analyst. Julie took initiative in creating an alternative forecasting model and developed a website scraper for strategic intelligence on trends. Currently, Julie is working at Blackburn Labs as the Chief Data Scientist and Operations Officer. In this role, they manage a team of employees and leads projects for clients, both internally and externally.

Julie Blackburn's education history is as follows:

Julie obtained a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from Harvard University, from the period of 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued an M.Phil in Anglo-Irish Literature at Trinity College Dublin from 2002 to 2003. Julie completed their BA in English at the University of Rhode Island from 1998 to 2002. Julie also obtained a Certification in Paralegal studies from Stony Brook University in 2010-2011.

In addition to their formal education, Julie has obtained several additional certifications. These include a Google Data Analytics Certificate from Coursera in November 2021, an Airtable Database certification from Udemy in August 2020, and completion of The Airtable Academy course from Udemy in the same month and year. Julie also holds the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in April 2019.

Julie has also pursued non-academic certifications. Julie is a Licensed Real Estate Broker, certified by the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation (DBR) in April 2022. Additionally, they hold certifications in Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and HIPAA for Leaders, obtained from ProTrainings and ProHIPAA, respectively.
