Baskar Nammalwar PhD., MBA (He/Him) has worked in various roles in the scientific field since 2003. Baskar began their career at Sanmar Group as an Officer R&D in 2003. In 2004, they moved to Aurigene Discovery Technologies as a Scientist. Baskar then joined Jubilant Biosys as a Scientist in 2006. In 2010, they moved to Oklahoma State University as a Research Scientist / Assistant Research Professor. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at Forge Therapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Scientist I, Research Scientist II, and Research Scientist I. Most recently, they have been a Senior Scientist II and Senior Scientist I at Blacksmith Medicines since 2021 and is currently the Principal Scientist at Vividion Therapeutics. Inc. since 2022.

Baskar then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Applied Chemistry from Anna University in 2003. In the same year, they also earned a Master's Degree in Chemistry from Bharathidasan University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Computer Science from Periyar University. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from Oklahoma State University in 2010.
