David Puerta

David Puerta Ph.D., COO and VP of Discovery & co-founder of Blacksmith Medicines and Forge Therapeutics. Previously, David led discovery at Living Proof (acquired by Unilever) where he helped discover and develop new chemistry technologies for consumer products. He received a BA in Chemistry from California State University Dominguez Hills and while earning a Ph.D. in Chemistry & Biochemistry from UCSD he helped develop the metalloenzyme technology platform.
