Lonnie Benavides

Lonnie Benavides has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Lonnie currently holds the position of Cloud Security Practice Lead at Blackthorne Consulting since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a CISO Consultant Advisor and later as the Chief Trust and Security Officer at Valon from March 2022 to February 2023. Lonnie also served as the Head of Security Engineering at OneLogin from July 2020 to March 2022. Before that, they held various roles at McKesson, including VP - Global Cybersecurity Operations and Services, and Head of Cybersecurity Active Defense. Lonnie also worked at DocuSign as the Senior Director of Security Operations and as the Director of Vulnerability Management. Lonnie'searlier experience includes working as a Technical Director at Cylance, Inc., Red Team Lead at Boeing, Information Security Risk Manager at JPMorgan Chase, formerly Washington Mutual, and Information Warfare Aggressor in the United States Air Force. Lonnie Benavides began their career as a Penetration Tester at Boeing.

Lonnie Benavides obtained a BS degree in Information Security and Assurance from Capella University, where they attended from 2004 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned an AAS degree in Electronic Systems from the Community College of the Air Force, where they studied from 1997 to 2003. Additionally, they obtained the certification "Developing Your Emotional Intelligence" from LinkedIn in 2022.
