Grace Johnson

Grace Johnson has a diverse work experience in engineering. Grace started their career in 2019 as a Research & Development Project Engineer at Vert, where they conducted testing of a Vert air-compressor. In 2018, they served as the Chassis Team Manager and later as the Head of Sponsorship and Outreach at Edinburgh University Formula Student, where they led teams in designing and manufacturing a race-car chassis and bodywork.

Grace then interned as a Composite Design Engineer at Renault Sport Racing in 2020, where they managed the design process and undertook fault-fixing tasks within the F1 division. Grace also completed a final year master's project on surface preparation for adhesive bonding of titanium and CFRP, earning a First Class distinction.

From 2021 to 2023, Grace worked at Vestas as a Materials Engineer, specializing in the testing and validation of materials for wind turbine blades. Grace'sresponsibilities included specifying material requirements, conducting materials testing, and analyzing test results.

Most recently, Grace joined Blackwave GmbH in 2023 as a Design Engineer. This completes their work experience summary.

Starting in 2016 and ending in 2021, Grace studied at The University of Edinburgh, earning a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

In 2018, Grace briefly attended Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, specializing in Manufacturing Technologies within the field of Mechanical Engineering.
