Diogenes Martinez

Diogenes Martinez has over 17 years of work experience in the field of information technology, with a particular focus on network engineering and infrastructure. Diogenes started their career at GBM as a Network Engineer in 2002, where they worked until 2005. Following their time at GBM, Diogenes joined Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior S.A. (Bladex) as an Oficial de Redes in 2005, and gradually moved up the ranks. Diogenes held positions such as SubGerente Redes y Soporte from 2007 to 2011, Gerente Redes y Soporte from 2011 to 2018, and Assistant Vice President Information Technology Infrastructure from 2018 to 2019. Currently, they serve as the Vice President Information Technology Infrastructure at Bladex.

Diogenes Martinez has a diverse and extensive education history. In 1997, they began their educational journey at the Universidad de Panamá, where they pursued a degree in Ingeniería Electrónica y Comunicaciones. Diogenes successfully completed their degree in 2002.

In 2011, Martinez decided to further enhance their knowledge and skills by enrolling in a postgraduate degree program at the Universidad Latina de Panamá. Diogenes specialized in Alta Gerencia and completed the program in 2012.

Building upon their success in the postgraduate program, Martinez pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at the same university. Diogenes enrolled in 2012 and successfully completed the program in 2013.

In 2021, Martinez sought to expand their knowledge in the field of technology and development management. Diogenes enrolled in the Gesti?n del Desarrollo Tecnológico program at MIT Professional Education for the duration of the year.

Additionally, in March 2022, Martinez obtained the PECB Certified ISO 31000 Risk Manager certification from the institution PECB.
