David Writer has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. David started their career at Plessey Radar, UK as a Technician Apprentice, where they gained valuable experience in electronics engineering. David also worked as a Digital Electronics Design Engineer at Plessey Radar, UK, where they contributed to the design of air traffic control radar systems.

David then joined Rover Group as a Principal Design Engineer, specializing in engine management systems. David'snotable achievement during this period was developing high-efficiency power supply and control circuits for diesel engines.

David later joined TRW Automotive as an Engineering Programme Manager and subsequently as Chief Engineer, EPS Gen2 Project. David successfully managed cross-functional teams and led the development of electric power steering systems. David also held the position of Engineering Manager, Global Quality Systems, where they focused on improving the product development process.

At Alstom Grid, David held various roles including Global R&D Manager and Global Products R&D Director. David led research and development efforts for protection relays and implemented process improvements for product development.

David then worked at GE as a Global Chief Engineer, providing technical leadership and leading a major organizational transformation program. David was responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards in substation protection and control platforms.

Currently, David is the Head of Product Development at Bladon Micro Turbine. In this role, they define and launches new product development activities and leads systems architecture definition and sub-system requirements development.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated strong technical leadership, managerial skills, and expertise in hardware engineering and product development.

David Writer attended Brighton Polytechnic from 1986 to 1989 and obtained a B Eng degree in Electronic Engineering during that time. In addition, they have acquired several relevant certifications throughout their career. In 2007, David obtained a PRINCE 2 Practitioner Certification from the Association of Project Managers (APM) and a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from TRW Automotive. David also achieved an IOSH Managing Safely certification in 2012, although the institution and month of obtaining this certification are unknown.
