Erika Mei Chua Holum serves as the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Associate Curator at the Blaffer Art Museum at the University of Houston since September 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Communications Associate at the Terra Foundation for American Art and an Exhibitions Associate at the Chicago Public Library. Notable accomplishments include co-founding an educational program for Rohingyan youth in Malaysia as a Fulbright Grantee and curating Thania Petersen's I AM ROYAL series during the OBSCURA Festival of Photography. Erika holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Art History from Rice University, a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Master of Arts in Museum and Exhibition Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago, along with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Eureka College.
