The Role

Reporting to the BlastOne Industrial Solutions Division VP/General Manager, the Director of Operations is accountable for product execution from order entry through delivery including safety, quality, purchasing, inventory management, assembly, delivery, transportation & logistics, and facilities & equipment. This role is responsible for leading through a culture of continuous improvement that exceeds customer expectations, while being a steward of the BlastOne business and continually improving operating performance. 

  • Executive sponsor of the BlastOne Safety Team. Ensure that we provide a safe and compliant work environment for our employees

  • Ensure that production, assembly, purchasing, schedules, and capacity support customer and project requirements

  • Develop and maintain staffing models for the Manufacturing Operations Team that reflect business growth projections and improvements in efficiency and effectiveness

  • Provide schedule visibility and “ahead/behind” feedback to Program Management the BlastOne organization

  • Lead BlastOne utilization and optimization of the ERP System to support business objectives including delivery performance and utilization of resources (inventory, manpower, cash, floorspace, etc.)

  • Track and improve the timeliness and accuracy of cost data. Utilize historical data (labor and materials) to inform future projections, costing and scheduling models and budgets

  • Align business expectations (revenue recognition, delivery performance) with the operational plan and schedule

  • Develop the annual budget for Manufacturing Operations aligned with the Annual Operating Plan and Business Forecast

  • Direct responsibility for Planning & Scheduling, Purchasing, Inventory & Warehouse, Production & Assembly, Quality, Shipping & Receiving

  • Develop a scalable supply chain and manage vendor/partner performance

  • Champion daily communication cadence with the Operations Team supported by KPI’s and a feedback loop that drive improvements

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and close operational gaps.

Work SCHEDULE

  • Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience with Production and Operations Management, ideally in an engineered product environment

  • Deep familiarity with the deployment and optimization of ERP systems to support customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies in a manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead an operational team to successful outcomes and act as a collaborative and influential member of a leadership team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or Business

  • Highly professional and presentable

  • Comfortable with multitasking and managing multiple concurrent projects with deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational & critical thinking skills

  • Able to effectively communicate at all levels internally and externally

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Microsoft Excel Expert

  • Experience with ERP software in a Supply Chain Planning role, ideally NetSuite

  • Lean/Continuous Improvement/Six Sigma Experience is a plus
