The Role

BlastOne is looking for a Senior Buyer to join our growing team!  We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to source, inventory and secure BlastOne Engineered Products parts.  We are looking for a candidate that brings an innovative, positive, “can-do” attitude to work each day.  This position will report to the Purchasing Manager to work in our Engineered Products (EP) team and will ensure EP has the inventory parts available to build equipment on a daily basis.  BlastOne will provide you with a great working environment, positive culture, and an opportunity to advance in a growing facility!

Skills/Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years’ experience leading procurement of industrial equipment and the supporting parts to produce said equipment whether fabricated or purchased.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

  • A history of sourcing through multiple channels (including cold calling)

  • Familiar with BlastOne Engineered products (Dust Collectors, storage hoppers, blasting equipment)

  • Manage the purchasing process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Analyze current and forecast activity for buying and maintaining proper inventory levels

  • Negotiate and manage purchase orders for mechanical and electrical commodities, as well as items to be fabricated per engineering drawings / specifications

  • Build long term strategic supplier relationships fostering collaboration to improve total cost and on time deliveries

  • Expedite timely responses for RFQ quotation acknowledgements and responsiveness to (RFQ) commercial and technical clarifications

  • Manage material delivery dates to prevent material shortages

  • Collaborate on supply chain operations and financial analysis

  • Experience in vendor management and supplier relationship management

  • Proven track record of cost savins and process improvement initiatives

  • Tracks KPIs for on time deliveries, supplier quality and cost reductions.

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, order preparation and tracking

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite of products and NetSuite Enterprise software a plus

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Is a Team Player and excels in communication, both written and verbal
