Brett Dutton has worked in the software development industry since 1989. From 1989 to 1991, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Karel*MATE P/L in Brisbane, Australia. From 1991 to 1994, they worked as an Application Programmer at Mincom P/L in Brisbane, Australia. In 1994, they worked as an Oracle Programmer at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. From 1995 to 1999, they were the Contractor/Owner at RAX Information Systems in Brisbane, Australia. From 1999 to 2000, they were the Director at RADN Technology Pty. Ltd. in Brisbane, Australia. From 2000 to 2004, they were the Director at RADN Technology Solutions Corp. in Vancouver, BC, Canada. In 2004, they worked at Alea Software as the Director of Software Dev, Sr. Architect, and Sr. Developer. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Senior Manager in Software Development at Amazon Market. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as the Chief Technical Officer (Hands on) at Reverse Corp Limited. From 2011 to 2018, they worked as the Head of School at Grand Mount International School. In 2020, they started working at BLESEN as a Solutions Architect & CTO. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Back 2 Basics Consultancy as an Independant Senior Software Developer, where they looked after the website PHP code and single-handedly ran all technical aspects of the Netfleet company until it was purchased in late Q3 2020.

Brett Dutton obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Science from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) in 1994. Brett also holds a Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance.
