Chris Meyer has over 30 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Chris started their career at Triad Systems Corporation as a Group Leader, where they managed teams and developed software tools. Chris then moved on to work as a Managed Care Analyst at St. Mary's Hospital of Milwaukee, Inc. In 1996, they joined Horizon Healthcare, Inc. as the Director of Managed Care, where they worked closely with CFOs and CEOs on strategy development and major payor negotiations. From 2000 to 2001, they served as the Director of Contracting at United Healthcare of Wisconsin, where they played a key role in network development and provider relations. In 2001, they joined Columbia St. Mary's, Inc. as the Managed Care Officer, overseeing an integrated healthcare system. Chris then joined Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative in 2012 as the VP of Provider Relations & Quality Management. Currently, they are the VP of Payer Risk Strategy at Blessing Health System, where they focus on innovative and collaborative approaches to improve member health.
Chris Meyer attended the University School of Milwaukee from 1973 to 1977, where they earned their High School degree. In 1977, they briefly studied at the University of Notre Dame for Freshman year Studies. From 1978 to 1981, Chris pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Sciences at Duke University. Later, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Lubar College of Business in 1989 and 1991, specializing in Finance, Operations, and Accounting. Finally, in 2005 and 2006, Chris attended Marquette University's College of Professional Studies, though no specific degree was mentioned.
