Benjamin Shown

Benjamin Shown heads up Blink’s Boston office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As design director at Blink, he leads multidisciplinary UX teams tackling projects focused on product envisioning, dynamic design systems, and brand expressed as software with clients including Amazon, HBO, Microsoft, and NASA.

Ben joined Blink in 2018 as part of an acquisition of Tectonic, an experience design studio, where Ben was a creative director for four years. Previously, he worked on future design concepts at Microsoft’s Envisioning Lab and as an exhibit designer at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle.

Ben loves collaboration, heady problems, Murphy beds, grids, typography, unity, and variety. He is an alum of UW’s visual communication design graduate program and currently lives in Somerville with his wife and two adorable clients (kids), 4-year-old Percy and 1-year-old Della.
