Timothy LaRoy

Timothy LaRoy has over 12 years of experience in the field of information security. From 2022 to present, they have been an Information Security Architect at Block Harbor Cybersecurity. From 2016 to 2022, they were an Information Security Architect/Manager at Danlaw Inc., where they provided Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) for Information Security and Privacy Methodologies, Standards, Controls, Policies and Procedures in accordance with CMMC, DFARS, FedRAMP, FISMA, ITAR, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, NIST CFS & NISTIR 8286 requirements. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Lead Security Architect at General Motors, where they provided Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) of applications for both in-vehicle and back-office information security. From 2013 to 2014, they were an Information Security Senior Enterprise Architect at North American Bancard, where they integrated Enterprise business strategies and IT technical solutions using modified Federal Enterprise Architecture and TOGAF methodologies. From 2010 to 2013, they were an Information Security Solution Architect at L-3 Communications, where they provided information security and support of secure local servers, prototype and development networks in accordance with DoD requirements.

Timothy LaRoy attended the University of Michigan from 1973 to 1980, where they studied Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 2013, they began attending Carnegie Mellon University, where they are currently enrolled in a Professional Program in Enterprise Architecture.
