Salman Mohammed

Salman Mohammed is a seasoned machine learning engineer with extensive experience in building and optimizing machine learning pipelines across various companies. Currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Block since October 2022, Salman focuses on model training, dataset creation, model serving, and deploying language models. Previously, as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Square, Salman developed a recommender system that significantly improved product ranking for merchants. Other notable roles include Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Ada Inc, where Salman contributed to chatbot services, and Applied Research Scientist at Element AI, focusing on entity extraction for document processing. Salman holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Dalhousie University, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Glasgow.
