Ryan Waites

Ryan Waites has extensive work experience in the technology and data engineering field. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Atom bank as a Data Engineer and later as a Senior Data Architect. During this time, they led the design and implementation of a modern data architecture and played a key role in building a core banking platform using cutting-edge technologies. In 2017, Ryan started their own private consulting business, specializing in modern data architectures and data engineering best practices. Since 2021, they have been working at Blockdaemon, first as the Director of Platform Engineering and currently as the Senior Director of Engineering.

Ryan Waites attended the University of Sunderland from 2012 to 2015, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Information Technology.
