Lawrence Nahum

Lawrence Nahum is the Chief Architect at Blockstream. Lawrence was previously the founder and CEO of GreenAddress IT Limited from December 2013 to July 2016. GreenAddress IT Limited is a prime, Bitcoin services company that offers the industry's first and most advanced multi-signature Bitcoin wallet. Lawrence Nahum was also previously the Vice President of Technology at MarkitSERV from September 2009 to December 2013. At MarkitSERV, they were part of a great team with an "initiative" culture which has been the ideal environment for their interest in solving challenging problems. Lawrence has worked as a team player and fostered cross functional teams and delivered strategic initiatives whilst ensuring tactical solutions did not get ignored. Lawrence's role varied from development/project management leading 10+ technology staff across locations (including offshore) and across products (clearing, credit, internal industrialization) to senior software engineer part of "Think Tank" groups. During the entire period they designed, developed and managed small-medium-large sized, multi-threaded, multi-platform server and client side projects in C++ (stl, Boost, gnu tool chain), Python and Java on Linux/Solaris/Windows as well as debugged , profiled and optimized/re-factored various portions of the system to which they enhanced standards adherence, and improved industrialization, build tools and testing.

Lawrence Nahum has a BSc in Computer Science with Distributed Systems from City, University of London, and a Linux System and network administration certification from ITCG Carlo Dell' Acqua.
