Jop Houwen

Jop Houwen has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Jop is currently serving as the Chief Financial & Risk Officer at BlockTech B.V. since March 2022. Prior to this, Jop worked at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as the Global Head of Market Risk Management from May 2017 to February 2022. Jop also worked at ING as a Market Risk Officer from February 2016 to April 2017. Before that, Jop gained experience as a Consultant at Accenture, where they focused on management consulting in the capital markets industry. Jop started their career as a Trader at All Options in November 2009 and held this position until February 2014.

Jop Houwen has an educational background that includes a MSc in Finance from the University of Groningen, obtained from 2008 to 2009. Prior to this, they completed a BSc in Accountancy & Controlling at the same university, from 2005 to 2008. Jop also received a Propedeuse in Econometrics from the University of Groningen, covering the years 2003 to 2006. Their secondary education includes a Gymnasium degree earned from Sint-Janslyceum 's-Hertogenbosch between 1997 and 2003. Jop Houwen also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) Charterholder certification, granted by the CFA Institute in 2016.
