Ahmed Alkelani

Director, Structured Finance, Corporate Development at Bloom Energy

Ahmed Alkelani, CFA has a strong background in finance and project development. Ahmed began their career in 2009 at Shell, where they held various roles in trading natural gas and power. Ahmed then moved on to become a Senior Project Economist in Shell's Asset/Corporate Development department from 2014 to 2018. During their time at Shell, Ahmed gained experience in financial analysis and trading.

In 2018, Ahmed joined Bloom Energy as the Director of Structured Finance in the Corporate Development department. In this role, they have been responsible for structuring and financing clean electricity projects, including community energy, biogas-to-power, behind-the-meter, and utility export projects. Ahmed has also been involved in preparing transaction terms, leading contract negotiations, advising origination groups, and developing financial models for project financing.

Prior to their time at Shell, Ahmed worked as a Research Assistant in Development Economics at the University of Toronto in 2008.

Ahmed Alkelani, CFA has an Hon.B.A. in Economics from the University of Toronto, which was obtained by 2009. Additionally, Ahmed holds an International Baccalaureate Diploma from IISA, obtained by 2005. In 2015, they became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, certified by the CFA Institute.
