Chris Frederickson

Vice President, Product Reliability Engineering at Bloom Energy

Chris Frederickson has extensive work experience in the field of reliability engineering and quality control. Chris first started their career at General Electric Nuclear Energy, where they served as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, leading the initial deployment of the Six Sigma program for the division. Chris was responsible for selecting and training Black belts, as well as overseeing over 50 priority projects involving manufacturing, engineering, and transactional processes.

After their stint at General Electric, Chris joined Lam Research Corporation as the Director of Systems & Reliability Engineering. In this role, they directed activities to test the reliability of new semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and worked closely with customers to beta test and upgrade their systems. Chris also led efforts to optimize system performance in terms of throughput and process uniformity.

Chris then moved on to Sun Microsystems, where they served as the Director of Business Operations & Master Black Belt. In this position, they led integration efforts to identify and overcome execution and process gaps inhibiting revenue growth. Chris also played a crucial role in leading Six Sigma efforts and setting quality goals for the Sun Storage Group.

Following their time at Sun Microsystems, Chris joined LSI Logic as a Senior Product Manager. Chris was responsible for driving improvements in reliability, availability, serviceability, usability, and installability for the company's storage product line. Chris collaborated with LSI OEM customers to develop priorities, collect data on product performance, and drive improvement initiatives.

Prior to their current role, Chris worked at Tesla Motors as the Director of Vehicle Test & Quality. Chris directed activities related to vehicle level validation testing, vehicle safety certification, reliability engineering, and quality. Chris'sresponsibilities included ensuring reliability, design for quality, and quality control of vehicles and powertrains. Chris supported engineering teams with methods such as FMEA, Design of Experiments, and Quality Function Deployment.

Currently, Chris Frederickson holds the position of Vice President, Product Reliability Engineering at Bloom Energy. Chris joined the company in 2013 as the Senior Director of Reliability Engineering before being promoted. Chris'sroles at Bloom Energy involve overseeing product reliability and driving engineering improvements.
