Igor Volov

Igor Volov, PhD, is a seasoned process engineer with extensive experience in the manufacturing and development of fuel cells and MEMS technologies. Since November 2019, Igor has served as a Sr. Staff Process Engineer at Bloom Energy, overseeing process engineering activities and managing process modules in development and volume manufacturing. Prior to this position, Igor held various roles at FormFactor Inc., including Manager of Analytical Lab and Sr. Process Engineer, where responsibilities included lab operations, product scale-up, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. Igor's foundational expertise in electrochemistry and process engineering is supported by a PhD from Columbia University, where research focused on copper plating and electrochemical deposition of metal alloys. Additionally, Igor has gained valuable experience through internships at Novellus Systems, Atotech Deutschland GmbH, and Parker Hannifin, contributing to advancements in electroplating and testing methodologies.
