Ben MacDonald

Managing Principal CMSI at Bloomberg Philanthropies

Ben Macdonald has extensive experience in the financial industry, starting with JPMorgan Chase in 1999 as a Vice President working in interest rate derivative exotics. Ben then moved to Goldman Sachs in 2004 before joining Bloomberg LP in 2006. At Bloomberg LP, they held various roles, including Global Head of Fixed Income and Global Head of Enterprise Products. Ben also served as the CEO of Bloomberg Tradebook LLC and as a Board Member at Bloomberg MTF. Currently, they are the Managing Principal of CMSI at Bloomberg Philanthropies, where they lead initiatives to accelerate efforts towards reaching net zero by 2050. Ben has also held leadership positions in BTF BV and chaired the Bloomberg Index Services Limited oversight committee.

Ben Macdonald attended Lancaster University from 1991-1996, studying Business Administration and Management. Ben then went on to complete their MBA at emlyon business school from 1996-1997, also focusing on Business Administration and Management.
