Mykie Reilly began their career in 2002 as an Administrative Assistant and Special Education Secretary at Bloomingdale Public Schools. In 2013, they took on the role of Special Education Intern Teacher at Bloomingdale High School. In 2016, Mykie moved to Bangor Public Schools, where they served as Director of Alternative Programs and Secondary Math Teacher. In 2020, they became an Educational Consultant. Currently, Mykie is a Learner Support Specialist at BloomBoard, Inc.

Mykie Reilly began their educational journey in 1983, attending Allegan Public Schools until 1992. In 2001, they attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College, graduating with an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Education in 2003. From 2006 to 2013, they attended Western Governors University, earning a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Elementary Education and Special Education. They continued their studies at Western Governors University, graduating with a Master of Science - MS in Secondary Mathematics in 2017. In 2019, Mykie Reilly completed an Education Administration Alternative Pathway at the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, earning a degree in Educational Leadership. Additionally, in 2013, they obtained a Child and Adult First Aid, CPR/AED Certification from HeartSaver.
