Patrick (Pat) Murtha was named Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) in March 2021 after rejoining Bloomin’ Brands as interim CHRO. Previously, Pat served as President of Bloomin’ Brands International from 2013-2017.
As CHRO, Pat oversees the global human resources function, including global compensation, benefits, talent management, leadership development, and HR operations for approximately 80,000 corporate and restaurant Team Members. As President of Bloomin’ Brands International, Pat was responsible for helping define, develop, and implement the international growth strategy.
Before joining Bloomin’ Brands, Pat held leadership roles at Yum! Brands, where he spent 17 years in a variety of positions, including Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of KFC, Japan, Ltd., Chief Operating Officer of Pizza Hut and Chief People Officer for Yum! Restaurants International. Pat has also held leadership roles at Ameritech and PepsiCo., Inc.
Mr. Murtha holds a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, an MBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Masters of Management from Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

New Private Restaurant Properties, LLC (PRP), an indirect subsidiary of the Company, leases the Company-owned restaurant properties to OSI's subsidiaries. As of December 25, 2016, the Company owned and operated 1, 276 restaurants and franchised 240 restaurants across 48 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and 20 countries.
