Nate Shutes

Nate Shutes has extensive work experience in the logistics and supply chain field. Nate started their career at C.H. Robinson in 2002, where they worked as a Global Account Manager for twelve years. In 2014, they joined Manna Freight Systems, Inc. as the Director of Procurement, a position they held for two years. In 2016, Nate joined Sleep Number Corporation as a Sr. Distribution Manager, where they worked until 2020. At Sleep Number, they also earned their Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. In 2020, they joined Blu Dot as the VP of Global Fulfillment & Logistics. Currently, Nate works at FreightWaves as the host of The Bootstrapper's Guide to Logistics, a role they started in January 2022.

Nate Shutes completed their MBA from the University of St. Thomas in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation & Logistics Management from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2002. In addition to their degrees, Nate obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Aveta Business Institute in June 2013.
