Kearney Lackas

Kearney Lackas serves as the Director of Components Technology at Blue Canyon Technologies, leading innovative teams focused on developing advanced satellite components since September 2024. Prior experience includes a role as System Engineer at Tendeg, LLC, where expertise was applied in actuators and electro-mechanical subsystems, alongside significant contributions to performance optimization and controls architecture. Kearney previously held various positions at Blue Canyon Technologies, including Principal Mechatronics Engineer and Sr. Mechatronics Systems Engineer, leading technical initiatives in mechanisms such as reaction wheels and gimbals. Early career experience includes roles at Honeybee Robotics, Teledyne CETAC Technologies, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, fostering a solid foundation in mechanical and systems engineering. Kearney Lackas holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
