Chris Wright

Director of Physical Design at Blue Cheetah Analog Design

Chris Wright has over 14 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry. Chris began their career in 2007 as a Physical Design Engineer at Hewlett-Packard. In 2013, they joined ARM as a Staff Design Engineer and Senior Manager of Test Chip Design. In 2018, they were hired as the Director of Physical Implementation at SiFive, and in 2021 they were appointed as the Director of Physical Design at Blue Cheetah Analog Design, Inc. Throughout their career, Chris has been responsible for chip level and block level composition from synthesis to GDSII of server chipset SOCs, closing timing, noise, DRC, LVS and other physical issues, and coordinating with internal IP, clock and package teams to ensure timely delivery of SOCs. Chris has also provided guidance as a physical IP test chip design expert and successfully taped-out at multiple foundries and nodes.

Chris Wright received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Washington and followed that up with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from the same university.
