Cassidy Philips

Cassidy Philips, Ph.D., currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas since June 2023, having previously held the position of Director of Business Intelligence. Prior to this role, Cassidy was an Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Millikin University from August 2021 to May 2023 and a Self Graduate Fellow at the University of Kansas from August 2015 to August 2021. An early research experience includes work as an Undergraduate Researcher at Brown University in 2014, focusing on the numerical analysis of partial differential equations, specifically the discrete maximum principle for the finite element method. Cassidy holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
