Vivian T.E. Tar, PharmD., MBA has a diverse range of work experience in the field of pharmacy. Vivian T.E. is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, where they lead the implementation and maintenance of cost-effective programs to control pharmaceutical costs. Vivian also develops clinical programs to lower the total cost of care and evaluates their effectiveness. Vivian T.E. has experience in collaborating with external pharmacy organizations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Prior to their current role, Vivian worked as the Director of Pharmacy for Integra Managed Care, where they provided medication management and leadership for improving health outcomes. Vivian T.E. also served as a Clinical Pharmacist for Aspen RxHealth, optimizing medication therapy through various services such as medication reviews and adherence monitoring.

Vivian has a strong foundation in pharmacy management, as evidenced by their previous roles as the Director of Pharmacy for AgeWell New York and the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Operations for Health Republic Insurance of New York. In these positions, they were responsible for strategic development, establishing business goals, and managing pharmacy programs.

Early in their career, Vivian gained experience in clinical informatics and process improvement as the Lead Clinical Pharmacy Informatics at Stellaris Health Network and as a Clinical Analyst and Core Team Lead at Dignity Health. Vivian T.E. also worked as an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, providing patient care and participating in clinical trials.

Vivian began their career as a Pharmacy Intern at Walgreens Pharmacy. Vivian T.E. holds a PharmD. degree and an MBA.

Vivian T.E. Tar, PharmD., MBA, obtained their education from various reputable institutions. In 1998, they pursued Pre-pharmacy at Dallas College and completed it by 2000. Following this, they enrolled in The University of Texas at Austin from 2000 to 2002 and earned an undergraduate degree in Pre-pharmacy with a focus on Biochemistry. Moving forward, from 2002 to 2005, Vivian attended Midwestern University - College of Pharmacy Glendale, where they achieved a Doctorate in Pharmacy. Continuing their educational journey, they joined St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center in 2005 for a General Practice Pharmacy Residency program, specializing in various aspects of pharmacy practice. Later, Vivian expanded their knowledge in the field by pursuing an MBA in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business, which they completed from 2008 to 2010.
