Ish Bhalla

Ish Bhalla has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Ish is currently serving as the Advisor of Clinical Effectiveness and Decision Science at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) since October 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Assistant Consulting Professor at Duke University School of Medicine starting in September 2023.

Before joining Duke University, Ish worked at Blue Cross NC, where they held multiple roles. Ish served as the Medical Director of Behavioral Health Value Transformation, starting in March 2021. Prior to this, they were the Associate Medical Director of Behavioral Health Value Transformation from June 2020 to March 2021.

Ish also has experience working in other healthcare organizations. Ish worked as a Psychiatrist at Landmark Health from July 2019 to June 2020. Before that, they were a National Clinician Scholar at UCLA Health from July 2018 to June 2020.

Ish's earlier experiences include roles at Yale University School of Medicine and Accenture. At Yale University, they served as a Forensic Psychiatry Fellow from July 2017 to June 2018 and as a Psychiatry Resident from July 2013 to June 2017. Prior to that, Ish worked as a Consulting Analyst at Accenture from January 2008 to June 2009.

Ish Bhalla completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management from Case Western Reserve University from 2004 to 2008. Following this, from 2009 to 2013, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The University of Toledo. Most recently, from 2018 to 2019, they attended the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Health Policy and Management.
