Laura Byas

Laura Byas has a diverse work experience in various roles within the healthcare industry. Laura began their career in 1998 as an Organizational Performance Consultant for THE COUNCIL ON QUALITY & LEADERSHIP IN SUPPORTS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABI. Laura then worked as a Managing Partner at Counselors of Texas from 2002 to 2007. From 2008 to 2016, they served as the Director of Operations at ICC & Associates. Laura joined Baylor Scott & White Health in 2015 as an Integrated Behavioral Health Specialist and held that position until 2020. Laura then worked as a Clinical Director at Oceans Healthcare from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, Laura took on roles as the Director of US Behavioral Health Operations and the Director of Clinical Initiatives, US at Babylon. Currently, they are serving as the Clinical Director, Behavioral Health at Blue Cross NC since 2022.

Laura Byas has a Master's degree in Rehabilitation and Therapeutic Professions from Stephen F. Austin State University. Laura also has a Certification in Primary Care Behavioral Health from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Their undergraduate education was completed at the University of North Texas, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. In addition, Laura has obtained various certifications, including Agile Project Leadership, Leadership Mindsets, and Project Manager Burnout, all from LinkedIn. Laura is also a licensed professional counselor supervisor, certified by the Texas Health and Human Services since January 2000.
