Cell Engineer at Blue Current

Carlos Casadevall has a diverse range of work experience in various research and engineering roles. Carlos is currently working as an R&D Battery Engineer at Blue Current, Inc. starting in June 2022. Prior to this, Carlos was a Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State University from August 2019 to December 2021, where they conducted research in their field. Carlos also worked as a Material Physics R&D Undergraduate Intern at Sandia National Laboratories from June 2019 to August 2019. Carlos has been involved in research at prestigious institutions, including Stanford University, where they were a Stanford Undergraduate Research Fellow in 2018. At Stanford, they designed and fabricated a wearable sensor using organic electrochemical transistor (OECT) technology. Carlos also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Universitat Rovira i Virgili in 2017, focusing on crystal growth for Thulium and Holmium doped KYW epilayers. Carlos gained engineering experience as an Engineering Intern at Hydraulic Supply Company in 2016, where they supported the team in assembling hydraulic manifolds and wiring harnesses, as well as designing components using Solidworks. Overall, Carlos brings a solid background in research and engineering to their current role as an R&D Battery Engineer.

Carlos Casadevall completed their Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering at the University of Florida from 2015 to 2019. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at Penn State University, with an expected completion date of 2024.
